Empyrean is a feature directed by Thomas Robert Lee and produced by Transcendence Films.
I shot it in black and white — not desaturated in the grade, but captured monochrome at the sensor, on the RED Epic Dragon Monochrome with RED Pro Primes. With no colour separation to lean on, every distinction the frame makes has to come from luminance: lighting ratios and filtration carry the work that palette normally does.
